Rob LeBlanc - 3rd Dan ICTF #1679

I was born and raised in the Halifax area. I began my Martial Arts career at age
12 and now have 17 years experience. Upon receiving my 1st degree Black Belt,
I began teaching at another local Taekwon-Do school.

I have competed in countless tournaments both locally and nationally. I spent the
first 5 years of my Taekwon-Do life undefeated in sparring. As a Black Belt I have
only ever lost one Pattern competition, and even then I placed 2nd. I gave up competing
about a year after I began teaching because I wanted to focus on my students, who have
gone on to compete at the National level.

I have spent my entire life as an athlete, beginning at age 3 when my parents
registered me in Gymnastics. I played AAA and High School hockey as a teenager
as well as being named MVP of Men's Baseball in school. I played competitive soccer
and football and I understand the importance of sport in developing young people
and their social skills. As an adult I now understand healthy living and how exercise,
no matter how little, helps to alleviate stress in this Dog-Eat-Dog world.

I spent a brief time in Toronto as an actor where I starred in a feature film as the
main "bad guy". I starred locally as the main character of Little Shop of Horrors
and was featured in the Daily News and Chronicle Herald multiple times.
I then starred in the Atlantic Fringe Festival production called
Sticks and Stones and received high reviews as well.

I returned to Halifax and to my roots in Taekwon-Do. I began teaching again
upon my return and have not looked back. With me, you are guaranteed to experience
a wide range of classes while I use my creativity to keep lessons fresh and exciting.
My way with children is that of an entertainer who uses my acting background to keep
children laughing and attentive while they learn, all the while knowing when to be
firm and teach discipline. I believe in giving respect to receive respect. My club
will be a family oriented club that promotes friendship over competition.

I am excited to finally create and build my own school and I look forward to working
with charities and teaching my students how to build a more peaceful world.

Thank you,
Rob LeBlanc
