MR. LEBLANC ON THE COVER OF SPORTSNET MAGAZINE
Mr. LeBlanc was named one of 4 Ford All-Star Dads in June.
The nationwide contest was based on Dads in Canada that took a
hands-on approach with keeping their kids active.
Mr. LeBlanc was honored with being placed on the cover of the magazine.
He and his family won a trip to Toronto, a 2013 Ford Explorer, $2000 in spending money,
a new Digital Camera, and they will be featured in the new Ford commercials
set to begin running on TV in the fall.
On May 12, 2012 two hundred ICTF students gathered in Halifax, NS for the
Maritime ICTF Taekwon-Do Championships. As with all our events,
this day was marked by great sportsmanship, competitive matches and family fun.
LeBlanc Taekwon-Do brought 68 competitors, earning the trophy for "The Most Students" award.
The tournament was also the official joining of the Gagetown White Tigers to the ICTF.
We want to congratulate all students and competitors on a great day
and to thank Mr. Blue for pulling off such a huge event.
We continue to show the dominance of the ICTF in the Maritime region
and we look forward to the announcment of a new ICTF school in September.
On February 11, three of our Black Belts completed their
test for their next degrees. Mr. MacLeod successfully
obtained his 4th Dan while Mr. Cull and Mr. Boudreau
earned their 3rd Dans.
The test was open to the public and brought in many spectators.
They were treated to 2 hours of grueling sparring matches
featuring 2 on 1`s, entertaining self defence routines,
patterns and difficult Board Breaking.
Their test began on January 28th with Master Cariati grading the
necessary technical aspects and culminating on February 11th
with the crowd pleasing physical demo.
We wish these three gentlemen all the best!!!
On January 28th, LeBlanc Taekwon-Do sent 51 students to a seminar
hosted by our great friends at Fall River Taekwon-do.
What a fantastic weekend as over one hundred students
participated in Kwan Jang Nim Cariati’s pattern seminar.
The weekend commenced with a 3 hour Instructor's session on Friday night
followed by the main event all day Saturday.
Kwan Jang Nim’s vast experience provided students
with answers to all the not fully understood techniques,
especially those areas that were never recorded by the founder.
Thank you Kwan Jang Nim Cariati, as always we’re moving forward.
